I took my AR Pistol to the range yesterday and was optimizing my adjustable gas block.
I have the Syrac Ordnance Gen 2 with the "click adjustments." Link
The problem is, after I shot about 10 rounds it was no longer adjustable. I'm assuming the powder fouled up the set screw, but now I can't adjust it... I thought the point of adjustable gas blocks were so that you could easily adjust it for suppressed/unsuppressed. Are these made to only be adjusted once per range visit? Also, how the hell do I clean this thing so I can adjust it again! Thanks for the help! |

Here are a couple of links that may be of help:
Syrac Gas Block Seized Gas Block Suggestions The only adjustable I have is an SLR Sentry 7 so I can't speak to the Syrac, but it's hard to believe that having to break it free to make an adjustment after so little use would be considered normal. |

Seized after 10 rds is too soon! I use a MicroMOA Govnah...no problems. About 10 - 20 rounds and went from difficult to adjust to unable to adjust. DPMS Kitty Kat upper that was seriously under gassed. Drilled out gas port and installed. My goal was to deal with the under-gas problem and not create an over gas problem. Annoying yes... but it is set where I need it so not an issue. Now considering the "Syrac Ordnance AR15 Low Pro Adjustable Retro Fit Gas Piston System " |
