| Sorry for being a total n00b, but how do I adjust the front sight? The manual says to use a round to press in the detent and then rotate the post. Well I have no problem pressing the detent, but I have no way to turn the post. I've tried needle nose pliers, but it won't move. I may not even have to adjust it, but I don't want to get to the range and be stuck. Is there an easy way to turn it without tools or with standard tools? I've spent the last two hours searching for information on this, so I thank you in advance for not telling me to "search" or "RTFM". |
| Thanks guys. I did finally get it to move. Once I got it to turn a little, it was easy to turn the rest of the way. It was just about getting the detent pressed all the way down. I would prefer to have a tool to do this though. Anyone know where I could order one? I would prefer to pick one up locally, but I doubt that is a possibility. |
| The front site post is “set and forget”. I personally have never had the need for a dedicated FSP adjusting tool. But, if you feel you must have one you could try some of the vendors in the Industry Forum or even click on the link above to the Bushmaster web site. |

I use a ball-point pen insert. The tough plastic micro straw is the perfect inner diameter for forcing over the sight post. Then you push in the detent all the way with a sharp plastic thing, and rotate the sight post. No scratches this way, and there is always a Bic round stic around. |
