Aero Precision??? > Build It Yourself

Looking and getting one of their uppers for a build. Hacnt heard much about them as I mainly spend my time in the reloading section. So can someone fill me in??

uppers and lowers are gtg.. have used both...

I had an issue with the magwell on my AP stripped lower.

The corners were not completely machined causing mags to not drop free. 2 minutes with a square file and alumablack and it was fixed. Other than that it was GTG.

Several manufacturers use AP and they are GTG. I have used them rollmarked as AP, SAA and Spikes.

Used both and they are GTG. The only minor issue I've had was I had to drill the front pivot pin detent hole a tad deeper on a couple. 2 minutes and fixed.

I actually just got done piecing together an aero upper with a surplus ammo (aero as well I believe). Haven't shot it yet, but everything seems sound as far as fit and feel.

from what I understand they make aircraft parts for military operations. take that as you will, but it seems like they know what they're doing.

edit- that might just be another company or something they do on the side. anyone confirm?

I've used many of them and I'm gettng ready to order more. Aero Precision is my goto receiver.

I have built 4 rifles with Surplus Ammo lowers (Aero made I think) and Aero uppers. I just bought a match pair on the Surplus Ammo site for $129. I'm awaiting shipment. I will let you know if the "matched" part of the pair is a real thing, or means they just threw an upper and lower in a box.

BTW, I have had zero issues with anything related to the upper and lower.

Upload to Photo bucket....................then copy and paste direct link to the image...........use the icon (insert tags) fourth from the right............practice makes perfect..........

Thank The good Lord u asked surplus ammo has a great deal upper charging handle and bolt carrier for 160 after reading every ones comments I must say I'm a believer
