Has anyone used the Pro with a different mount than what came with it? Trying to get pass that huge knob. If so pics please.

The PRO dimensions are the same as the other 30MM tube Aimpoint optics (M2, ML2, M3, ML3, etc.) so any of those mounts will work.  Have you tried the QRP 2 mount yet?  A lot of folks find that after running one for a bit, it works fine.

Go with the stock mount.  After a while if it's too annoying, LaRue LT150 or LT129 and you're good to go.  Never look back.  Enjoy!

Started out with the stock mount on mine, currently has the LT150 on it. Got it 14 months ago, haven't turned it off since. The LT150 was Christmas present from my father last year. Worth the price difference…

Could just keep your mount but remove the knob. Save a good chunk of cash.

Its safe to say more than half of the pro owners go with something else, mainly larue then whatever the next best thing is. Theres nothing wrong with the QRP2 mount. When i had one, i went with the LT129 because i wanted it more foward on the rail

I Started with the Aimpoint mount but the co-witness annoyed me.
I just got in a Larue LT129 Cantilever mount which pushes the Pro forward a few more inches and up a little more
as well as having a built in spare battery compartment.
I love the co-witness and the mount overall.
I have a standard FSB sight and a rear Troy BUIS that I normally leave down.

Exact same setup and opinion.

I'll also note that I never tested how well the stock mount retains the zero if removed from the rifle but the LT129 retains my zero every time.  The Cantilever mount also leaves me room for my Troy BUIS, and an aimpoint magnifier which I run from time to time.

Agreed.  I use an LT129 for my M2, but if I got a Pro, I'd definitely go with an LT150.  Keep it simple, lighter.  Don't really need it pushed further forward.  My $0.02.

I didn't go with the LT150 based on function…I have a 13" rail on top of the flat top.

Which LaRue mount between LT150 & LT129 would be more compatible to a PA 3X Magnifier using a LT755-S?

I could never justify buying a separate mount for my PRO's. Their biggest asset is the value.

If you ever plan on running a magnifier, get the LT129

Have PRO on three rifles.

Love it just how it comes out of the box.  Co witnesses fine with my set up.  Standard FSB and MOE BUIS.

MANY rounds down range and no issues.

Wouldn't the LT129 cantilever be further forward from the magnifier?  Just thinking that the rear of PRO and the front magnifier has to be as close as possible....that they would almost be touching each other?

Also, what is the magnification of the PRO?

To each his own, I tried to use the mount but I was not comfortable with the sight picture.
I picked the pro over the T1 because I prefer the tube diameter and the see thru back cap(s).
Really its about being comfortable with a product that is set up best for you so there is no wrong answer.
Also I'm still 80.00 cheaper than the T1,more if I sell the Aimpoint mount and $80.00 can definitely come in handy on other things.

Zero.

It's not a scope, is an unmagnified red dot sight.

The Aimpoint PRO doesn't magnify on its own.

This! I'll be getting an Aimpoint PRO for my current 10.5" cqbr build and it'll get a LT-150 before it goes on the rifle.

The magnification on the PRO is 1.  I don't like the big knob either so I found a used Bobro on ebay that is in perfect condition.
It's rock solid and a work of art.  The release lever is very easy to use with one hand.  Highly recommended.

Yes, they do.  To check it for myself, I did several series of tests from the bench at 50 yards.  No noticeable change.

Im just as happy as a tornado in a trailer park with my pro just as it came out of the box , but not everybody has the same wants or needs so its cool there are options out there . I have tried mine for retaining zero and it has been close enough that I dont notice it.

The big knob never bothered me on my issue M4 on deployments.  If I had a PRO I would leave it, part of what makes it a good deal, comes with a mount.
