Ok I'm going to buy an ML3, but I don't know which one to get the 2 MOA Dot or the 4 MOA Dot. I have never had a red dot scope, so I'm nut sure what to get. I can get the ML3 for $399.20 OTD. Let's have the pro's and con's |
I have a 4 MOA if you adjust the brightness lower the dot will dim making it appear smaller Personally, I much prefer the 4 MOA dot. Tomac |
+1 HOLLY SHIT !! I thought I was one of the Few here that rather have 4MOA than 1MOA or 2MOA LMT 14.5 M4 w/ aimpoint ML2 4MOA DOT LMT M4 w/ Eotech 551 1MOA DOT I get the same size group 0 to 220yards |
When you turn A TAD DOWN the AIMPOINT with 4MOA Dot it is the SAME AS EOTECH 1MOA DOT Like Ive said over and over I get the same size groups with 1MOA or 4MOA ( Tin can 220yards ) I GUESS IM JUST THE ONLY PERSON HERE ON AR15.COM THAT GET THE SAME SIZE GROUPS! Anyway the aimpoint is made for 1 thing only FAST SHOOTING Its Not a TARGET SIGHT/Optic |

I have Aimpoints with both 2moa and 4moa dots. I prefer the 2moa in all situations. That is just me, but don't let people tell you that if you get a 3x magnifier you should use the smaller dot only. Speaking from experience, it doesn't make a difference. Yes the dot appears larger with the magnifier but what people fail to realize is that the object you are looking at is magnified also. The dot always stays in praportion. If you look at a target 100 yards away using an Aimpoint with a 4moa dot and a 3x magnifier, the dot does NOT appear three times bigger because your target is magnified three times also. MadDog

Good point, I wasn't thinking of it that way. I need to find some one that has a 2 & 4 moa so I can take a look for my self.
