I just got a surplussed Comp M4 that is in great shape, but found the power knob to have some play in it.  There is no negative effects, but there is some play.  Is this normal?  Thanks!

If it works, then it's more or less normal.

I've seen some pretty banged up Comps that still worked.

The biggest problem with them is making sure the switch is in the "OFF" position.

That's how they're supposed to be.  The knob is not directly attached to the rheostat, so if you break the knob off, the sight still works.

Question has already been answered, but yes it's normal.  It's designed to do that and its an actual feature of the optic.

I guess everything about it is good to go.  I got it at a fantastic price.  Thanks!
