How much difference is there between these two sights? From what I can gather, the M3 is a more rugged version. I see tons of posts about the M3, and not so many about the C3. For the extra money is the M3 worth it?

my understanding is this -

CompC3   -  law enforcement suitable , Hunting suitable , Defense suitable , can handle ALMOST ANYTHING you can throw at it

CompML3 - Anything suitable, NOT night vision suitable , Can handle ANYTHING you throw at it

CompM3  - Anything suitable, IS night vision suitable , Can handle ANYTHING you throw at it and is AWESOME

I've learned a lot from some of the extremely knowledgable people hear, so I'm glad to help if I can

The M3 is Night Vision compatible, slightly longer than the C3 (5.1" v. 4.9"), a hair heavier (220 g. v. 200 g.), has a bit wider temperature operating range and is water resistant to 45 meters v. 5 meters for the C3. Both have 2 and 4 MOA models, but the C3 can also be had with fixed 2X magnification, which some people find a little uncomfortable with a red dot.
