With the 3x magnifier, you don't seem to hear about these anymore.

Any comments?  I'd like something with a little more magnification for a 308 rifle, but don't want to drop the change on the full sight and 3x magnifier...

I hear it's akin to looking through a straw, the FOV is rather poor

Is it more like shooting with a normal scope, or something else?  I can understand that criticism when compared to a 1x Aimpoint, but they may be different beasts.

Are their FOV limitations when shooting with the 3x magnifier?

YOUR FOV IS LIMITED WITH THE 2X AIMPOINT, AS PREVIOUSLY STATED. AT 2X X 3 = 6X, I THINK IT WOULD BE PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND YOUR TARGET.

YOU ASKED, AND WE TOLD YOU: THE AIMPOINT 2X IS A FAILURE WHEN COMPARED TO AN AIMPOINT 1X OR TO ANY QUALITY LOW POWERED OPTIC.

THE 3X MAGNIFIER HAS PRACTICAL APPLICATION WHEN USED WITH A 1X AIMPOINT, HOWEVER. THEY HAVE LOTS OF SATISFIED USERS.

I think the 2X Aimpoint is the #1 worst optic I have ever tried.  It was obviously a tacked on complete after thought.  It sucks.

i was wondering. if the optic at the end was removed, could i revert the optic to a 1x?
