| I have the opportunity to buy both. The Aimpoint Comp M is $225 and its been used, but still works great. Or I can get a Vortex Strikefire, brand new for $115. I have actually fired my rifle with the Aimpoint and it shoots good, I just wish the dot was a little brighter and the battery lasted longer. What would you do? |

Save a little longer and get an Aimpoint PRO. Maybe cut out the Starbucks or something else for a few months.
PSA regularly has them on sale for $375. You won't regret it. A quality optic is not where you want to skimp. For the record, I had the same predicament as yourself I ended up getting an Aimpoint M3 with LaRue M68 CCO QD mount on the EE for $400. I am extremely happy with the decision. I was originally going to get a Primary Arms micro for ~$100, glad I saved up a little more for the Aimpoint. ETA: Comp M from 1999 for $225 or BRAND NEW PRO for ~$375? $150 difference for a huge upgrade. Not much to think about IMO. |

For as long as Vortex remains in business ... you will have a fully functional Vortex product. I think you would be hard pressed to find a bad review with regard to Vortex customer service/warranty. |
