I recently purchased a H-1 from a reputable dealer online. I have used it 3 times and have had problems twice already. During my second trip to the range on the third shot the red dot went out. I tried turning it on and off with the the dial and nothing. I finally took the battery cap off and took the battery out and then put it back in and that fixed the problem. I immediatly went to a battery store and replaced the battery thninking that must be the problem.
Tonight I was cleaning my AR and turned the H-1 on to check and make sure it was working and nothing. Once again I took the battery out and put it back in and it worked. Obviously I am very concerned with this problem. Anyone else run into the same problem? Any suggestions? thanks, |

Only thing I can suggest is the battery cap is not screwing down all the way and allowing the battery to move under recoil. Check to make sure it is not bottoming out before it is all the way in.
If you can't figure it out, Aimpoint is great about replacing or fixing their products if they have problems. Good Luck! |
| A lot of people are unsure about putting torque on the switch while tightening the battery cap. Go ahead and turn the switch all the way on and then tighten the cap. You will probably find that you get about another 1/4 turn. This should take care of it. If not, call 703-263-9795 X 223 and ask for John. |

+1 I had the very same problem and Keith at Aimpoint walked me through this. You will know when you have tightened the cap all the way.
