OK, been messing around with my Comp ML2, and was wondering if there exists or should there exist a screw-in lens protector? I've seen some people running just the front cover, but... My idea is: leave the front flip-up in place. (sight works with it up anyway...) That protects the front. Remove the rear flip-up. Use some kind of thread-in Lexan or like material, lens protector. The threads are already there, if the protector got scratched, it's easily replaceable. Unlike if you managed to foul the actual lens. This way, if the situation arose, the minimum you'd have to do is just rotate the dial on, and you're good to go! Could there be fogging/water issues or anything else that would prevent this? Possible idea or unneccesary gadget? |
