That is strange. I have two M4S and can't see any tilt. I would call Aimpoint and send it in for repair. That is about your only choice. Check with LaRue first and see if they can swap it out for you. They are a top Aimpoint reseller and may be able to expedite it for you.

I'm thinking that a call to aimpoint cs in the morning is in order. and i can check out some of the issue sights at work tomorrow. after doing some googling, a few guys at calguns.net and thehighroad have had the same issue. a few people there confirmed that their sights had the same lens cant and that it was "normal"... i don't know. anyone else have any input? |

Does it affect structural integrity? Just curious. I mounted, zeroed, and put about 200 rounds down range with no problems before i noticed it yesterday. It hasn't fogged up, the dot is clear, and i can't move the lens no matter how hard i try. Whether it's supposed to be mounted like that or not, it isn't going anywhere. I sent an email to Aimpoint CS about 30 mins ago, we'll see what they say. |

Normal. Think of the front lens as a mirror, and the LED as a flashlight. If the mirror is in one hand and the flashlight in the other you would need to angle the mirror to get the flashlight to beam back to your eye. All Aimpoints have a canted front lens. They have to. If the lens wasn't canted then you would not be able to see the dot.

But, considering the direction the lens is angled is facing the LED inside the body, this makes perfect sense. i just wasn't aware that the dot actually reflected off the main lens... i guess i thought it was magic
