| Has anyone had problems with scope creep with their Aimpoints. I've an ML2 mounted on a 9mm AR carbine and I'm using a LaRue QD mount, every few hundred rounds the point of impact shifts about 6 inches off to the right at 25 yds. I'm sure it's something simple. |

6 inches is alot @ 25 yards.
I have a Larue mount for my 1-4X...and i did notice that the mount will shift a 1/2 MM or so when i was shooting: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=219&t=195269 I followed the larue instructions on tightening the levers...and even went beyond the recommended tension; and the mount was still moving. In the end i had to tighten the tension nut when the levers were closed and the mount was on the rifle to stop the mount from walking. I would take a mechanical pencil and mark your flat top where the mount is...and see if it is moving on you. |

You would think the mount would just settle down after a time. |

i have to include that while the mount was moving on me a 1/2 mm at most...the rifle still held zero at 200 yards...and my groups were no worse than 2.5 MOA.
What you are looking for on your setup is massive movement; > a few MM. You may already know this...but when mounting your aimpoint; push the mount forward against the chosen spot on the rail before locking the lever down. rifle recoil wants to initially jolt the optic foward. |

I would re-tighten everything.
Many people miss the instructions to the LaRue mount and leave them too loose. It should be hard to get one and harder to get off, yet without the use of tools. See if that fixes what ails you, otherwise I'd start checking the rifle (barrel nut good & tight?). |
