I've been reading the posts about the Micro and am having a hard time deciding between it and the CompML3. My primary use will be at the range and I plan to use a magnifier with it. Most shooting will be 50-200 yards.
How do the 2 and 4 MOA dot sizes compare in shooting and what about FOV? How about one over the other with a magnifier? Thoughts are appreciated. |

It just depends on what you want really. If you want something that's more compact, light, and smaller ... I'd go with the T1.
If I'm not mistaken I believe that the T1 has a smaller diameter lense ... at least it looks like it does. Oh yeah ... don't plan on scuba diving beyone 80' like you can do with the M3 |

I don't have ML3, but I do have M4s, as well as T1. I prefer full-sized Aimpoint over Micro. I think the full-sized is more versatile and the dot is easier to pick up for me. Also, the way my eyes work, I generally prefer smaller dots over larger ones, especially with magnifier.
You do have to understand that there is no answer to this. Everyone has their own set of eyes and skills. Also, both optics work well for just about any purpose and the difference could be minute. Good luck with your choice. |
| Personal choice. Style choice. Believe me, the dot size is not a big deal. There are more mount choices for the ML3, especially if you want flips ups. The mounted magnifier and Aimpoint mount weigh a bit, so ultimately the weight difference ends up more like 25% than 300% BTW. |
