Just curious. Does the optic ship with a battery? The listing at Optics Planet only mentions the PRO. Not sure if I need to pick one up before it arrives.

Midway also stocks the Energizer equivalent battery, about $4 IIRC. I keep a spare in my grip.

And the battery my PRO came with has been on constantly for almost exactly a year now and shows no signs of weakening.

Bought 2 from PSA on black Friday and neither of them had a battery....

It ships with one. I bought the PRO when it first came out 2-3 years ago and im still using the original battery with it constantly on the third brightest setting.

The lithium batteries have a shelf life of 10 years, so I would buy a couple extras anyway. 1/3N and I suggest you buy from batteryjunction.com

Also the Larue mounts have a waterproof storage area for an extra battery.
