Has anyone actually gone 3 years (or longer) between battery changes, and if so did you have an issue with removing
the battery cap. I am wondering about the durability of the O-ring, for example will it remain intact after being in place for 3 years and will the O-ring re-seal. Additionally, what about the threading. Should the O-ring and threads be lubed? |

Aimpoint knows what they are doing and has a reputation for making some of the best 1x red dots on the planet.
- It doesn't come with lube on it so I would not add any - They also made it for miliarty use so I'm sure they spec'ed an o-ring that was plenty tough. In addition, if it was prone to failure we would have heard a lot about it That said, it's not a bad idea to have an extra o-Ring should you be so inclined. I wouldn't worry about it myself. |
