Dot seems to die randomly. Battery was replaced two months ago and I haven't owned the optic for more than 3 years...

Any idea what to check?

Instructions say battery or the adjustment knob is whacked. Anyway to fix that without having to call Aimpoint? I was going to reconfirm zero today and of course it didn't work...

I hate to say this but, call Aimpoint. They will more and likely take care of you. They have great customer service.

Make sure the battery contacts are clean. I fixed tons of old school cell phones by cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser. Just be careful. Suspect the battery too, just because it's new doesn't necessarily mean it's good.
