| Hello everyone I need help deciding between these 2 or a good Aimpoint or something similar that isn't bulky like the M4. I really like that the comp m3 takes AA battery's and is completely waterproof not that ill really ever need it to be but its nice to have. Does the T1 use the battery's you can find in a AAA battery? I'd like to keep it under 550$ because I see no point in spending 2k for an something so small. Thanks in advance. |

Personally, I prefer the T1's. Smaller footprint on the rifle, less weight, same function. You may very well prefer the other way around but I run more T1's than anything. Is it easy to adjust? The special tool has me worried. The special tool is the adjustment dial cover. Like the turret caps on a scope. if the aimpoint micro is on the gun then its special tool is also. |

Okay I think its pretty much set that i'll get the T1 micro, anyone know where I can get one for a cheap price? If Its over 550 I'll just get the Comp M3 because I can pretty easily find one for 400$. I'd wait until you've saved the extra $150. If you need something now, there are plenty of cheap alternatives, like the TRS-25 (under $100) or the Vortex Strikefire for $120. Both are excellent alternatives, and you'll get most of that money back at resale. Buying a used CompM3 to save $150 over a new T1 is... well... myopic at best, or outright foolish at worst. |

I don't mean the comp m3 there's a different model that's like 400 a bit smaller and completely waterproof to any depth. |

Plus when are you going to be shooting 100 feet under water? At that point you've got more then a functioning site to worry about. Just get the t1 and be happy. |
| I have a comp M2 going on 14 years. does everything my T1 does, actually prefer shooting with the larger tube, I like the T1 because I like to run a 3x mag behind it. If you don't plan on running a magnifier I would say save yourself 200-300 and get a used Aimpoint or a new PRO. you can pick up used M2s for 350-400 with good mounts(LT, ADM) in the EE, |

Now I have a Russian sight that I've had for a while the battery life is terrible but I can throw, kick it, stomp on it etc. Can the same be said for the H1? I almost never baby my things and I don't want to start now ![]() yeah, the micros are pretty tough. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vvigk-RuT1w |
