So my Aimpoint T1 is having issues. Went to look through it today and the red dot wasn't illuminated. Tried changing the intensity and its visible on the 12 setting but that's it and when switching from 12 to 11 or less it's just dead. Tried changing the battery but that didn't change anything. Going to call Aimpoint on Monday but if anyone has had this happen or has a fix I'd prefer that to sending it off and not having my primary optic. The optic has been taken care of but hasn't been babied. Used on a personal, not professional, gun. No major falls or impacts that I'm aware off. It's about 3-4 years old I think. Never had an issue with it till now. Thanks for the help

It must be a chicom fake.  Aimpoints don't fail,  period.

Likely sarcasm from the post above, but I haven't had any of my micros have those type issues and have had them each for 3+ years.  Call Aimpoint and see what they say; may require a shipment to them.  Make sure you're okay without having that optic for your gun for a bit.

Definitely not a fake. Purchased through a VERY reputable dealer who has a mil/leo sales program for aimpoint. Sounds like no one else has experienced this type of problem with their micros. Typical for me to be the one to break the indestructible stuff though. Seems to be my MO. I'll update with follow up from aimpoint Monday.

I've experienced a wandering zero with a T1 and had to send it in to get fixed. They do occasionally have problems,  you just don't hear about it very much. In fact,  I have another T1 (or maybe it's the same one) that has issues with the click adjustments being inconsistent.

Try tightening the battery cap down further.  Turn it until it stops.

Yeah I know it's a manufactured piece of electronic equipment. Nothing is infallible which is why I always run back up irons. Gadsden I though that might be the issue originally and tightened that mother down all the way with no change. Technically it still falls under their warranty as it's not on a duty gun so I'm hoping they take care of it.

No it can't be. They told me in the MRO thread that Aimpoint doesn't have those problems...

Seriously, if changing the battery and tightening the cap down doesn't work then give them a call. They'll take care of you. BTW, this is the second one I've read about in as many months.
