I bought my T-2 immediately after getting my refund from Eotech. Up until now, it's been perfect. Last weekend I had the T2 mounted on an AR and was just shooting some paper. I made it through one magazine and then the dot just disappeared. I messed around with it for a bit and it came back on fine. But it went off again after just one more round...
I figured it was the battery (which was only a year old and was turned to 0 when not being used). I went home and replaced the battery. Had the same issue but it seemed to be resolved after cranking down the battery cap. But this morning, I'm having the same problem. It's a new battery and the cap is tight. What's wrong with my T-2? And how is Aimpoint's customer service because I suspect I may have ended up with a defective optic? Edit: Also, smacking the optic seems to work as a very temporary fix. Bad battery contacts maybe? Edit 2: Seems to be user error now lol. I think my thread was premature. Edit 3: For those wondering, even though my cap was "tight" it was not cranked all the way down so that it was completely closed with no gap between the cap and the knurls. |
