There's a used one in the want-ads for $220. I don't know much about aimpoints, is this a good deal?

You don't see them that often for that price, usually $300 or more. Unless it's very well used. Probably won't be there long if it's in good shape.

ok, here's another question. How about a 4x magnifier. They're asking 250. Did the manufacturer discontinue 4x magnifiers? All I can find is 3x.

careful, a lot of nearly spot-on Aimpoint clones out there...
