For those of you who have had experience (there are no gun shops that carry quality optics near me)... I'm curious about the T1/H1 vs M3/PRO.  I would think that a T1 would be faster than an M3/PRO at short distances because it isn't a 5 inch long tube.  Am I correct or is there no real difference in how fast you can be?  Also, the 2 MOA dot would be nice for use with a magnifier, but then I got to thinking, at longer distances where a magnifier would really be helpful (with a 50 yard zero) I would have to hold the dot above the target anyways so dot size wouldnt really matter at distances of ~250 and longer.  Am I correct to assume this?  Any input would be nice.  Thanks!

I don't find any difference in speed between a full size Aimpoint and a T-1. If you shoot with both eyes open it does not take long before you don't even see the sight body.

Thanks Marshall.  That's what I suspected but I have been wrong before.

I can't tell a difference between the speed of target acquisition with the two styles.

The only drawback to the Aimpoint Micros (IMHO) is the smallish 20mm tube being less forgiving of sloppy cheekweld when shooting from awkward positions.

I don't find either to be inherently faster, but the T1 obscures less of your target due to the thinner housing.

You are correct.

While I don't have a problem using the T1 in awkward position, the larger Aimpoints do provide greater margin for error.

The two situations that make the most difference IME is Supine and shooting with a gas mask.

Excellent.  So the only real performance differences between the different Aimpoints (assuming night vision compatible)  would be the battery life (pretty much a non-issue anyways), weight, and dot size.  Thank you all for the replies, you have reaffirmed what I have been guessing.

Just remember that it all boils down to the question, "Does it look cool"?
