im looking to get one of these optics soon but can decided which one I think they both look good

an pros or cons to these?

Oh, no..................................another poll.

How about this............................get both and tell us which one is better.

This topic is as much personal opinion as any of the topics out there, so if I tell you that the Aimpoint is the sh!t, which it is BTW, you may try an EOThingy and like it better.

I have an EOTECH 552 Rev/F and I love it..

its built like a tank...and I really like having the "cqb ring" and the 1 moa dot...makes shots damned fast...and the little dot makes it easier to reach out and touch something a little easier than the 4 moa dot on the "other one".

have you tried or at least looked through both?

You really cant go wrong with either.

If you get the EO get the AA battery version and use lithium batteries.

I cant try either

i would just have to order one

no, if i did i would draw a red dot on the lense

the reason I ask is the eotech recticle may appear fuzzy if you have asigmatism.

Red dot on the glasses, you should patent that,  it sounds like something out of terminator.
I wear thick glasses, have astigmatisms in both eyes and own an Eotech 512.  It's great.  I  was a little nervous buying one until I tried one out.  The ring and dot are just barely more grainy than the ones I see in pictures.

I've studied hard on this issue and decided to get both. But the first one I'm gonna buy is the Eotech. No extra mount to buy. YMMV

Aimpoint M2 or ML2 2X with  2MOA dot, the latest thing.

I don't think you are going to go wrong with either choice.  I choose the EOTech 512.

You need to go to your hometown forums and see if anyone near you has either of these optics. If that doesn't work then find a local gun shop or gun show that has them and take a look at them. You are basically wasting your time with this poll as everyone has their favs and neither is right or wrong. One this is for certain, the EOTech will always be cheaper as it has a built in mount....

Aimpoint, very durable, ridiculous battery life, no frills.  Good sight.

what's the better optic, when you have -1.5 on each eye and don't have your glasses on?

what's the better optic for 100m or further shots?

I wear glasses in part to correct astigmatism and I use an Eotech. The 65 MOA ring is a little fuzzy, and so is the 1 MOA... but its still smaller than the aimpoint 3MOA dot.

2 ply... I mean Eotech. I have a revF 512 and I love it. It seemed more versital then the Aimpoint. The 65moa ring makes quick shots on steel plates and such a breeze, and the 1moa dot is nice for longer distance. Plus it is cheaper

Couldn't decide either so I got both and still can't decide which I like better.  In my opinion you can't go wrong with either one...LL..

And there is even this place called...
Optics, Mounts, and Sights Forum.
IIRC this may have been addressed once, maybe even twice there.

I don't know. I am in the same boat as you.

Here's my opinion FWIW .

Non magnified dot style optics are primarily designed
for inside 100 yards and quick acquisition .

I have couple of each mounted on different weapons .

The aimpoint has the edge past 50 yards or so
because of the single dot .

The EOTech wins hands down in side 50 yds .
In fact I have found that at 10-20 yds I don't
even have to turn the unit on to hit 8" plates
as fast as I can put them in it's window .

The real choice is what kind of shooting you
will be doing the most .

If your in Albqueruqe,NM then go to Calibers off of Paseo Del Norte east of  I-25.  The last time I was in there, about 2 months ago, they had the EOtech's in stock, a Trijicon Reflex and they might have an Aimpoint too.
If your in the Las Cruces area, PM me.  I have an EOTech you could take a look at.
hope this helps.

ETA; trijicon reflex, found the brand.
