I have a Aimpoint on my RRA LAR-15 Tactical Entry, There is nothing wrong with the aimpoint mind you, I have noticed that on the EO Tech's it appears that the sighting area is larger, and the controls easier to set-up.....Is there anyone else that feesl this way also....I am thinking of selling my aimpoint and purchasing a EO Tech from brownell's......

First, this has been discussed recently.....................numerous times with the conclusion that some like one and some like the other.

Second, I don't see how either has easier controls.  One's a pushbutton you push to change illum, the other has a knob that you turn.  YMMV.

Third, surely you can get an EOTech cheaper than Brownells, but as I type this I was thinking that you probably have some type of FFL/LEO connection, so............................nevermind.

Hi WPD80,
I love the EoTech's they are faster than the Aimpoint.  We will give you a better price then Brownell's.

Never owned an Aimpoint, so I can't give you an honest opinion of them, however, I can't say enough good things about the EOTech. I use mine for work (patrol/SWAT) and the larger viewing area helps tremendously, especially with aquiring the reticle while wearing a gas mask and having to tilt the rifle.

Also, you may want to check out my recent thread about EOTech's customer service.

Well, sorry for the late reply back, I got busy at work....."csgunworks.com" I'll be in touch shortly...I have a buyer for my aimpoint, pending funds exchange, and I'll call you.

Thanks for the reply's, my question was not to induce a war over aimpoint and EO Tech, I just thought the sighting area was larger therefore giving the shooter a better both eyes open shot...

My concerns come from, this department has to store the AR in the truck in a padded case. This means the officer would have to open the trunk, open the case, flip open the caps on the aimpoint, then adjust the knob to a desireable point. I noticed that you can adjust it to be WAY to bright at night.

I was told by a friend whom is a Illinois State Trooper, and carries a armilite with a EO Tech, that the settings can be made and stored so that when you activate the EO Tech the intensity is already adjusted.....

THANKS again for all the reply's
