When mounting an Aimpoint and a magnifier, how much space does there need to be between the 2?

I have about as much space to slide a piece of paper between them them, maybe a little more. I have seen some setups with more space. I basically have them as close together as was physically possible.

That works for me cuz that is how mine is set up. Very close together.
