I want to build a dissy-type AR to be as light as it can possibly be.
Has anyone made a FSB for dissy-type ARs of aluminum?

Do they fail when they are used as gas blocks or do they fail when used as front sights? The OP was asking about a dissipator build, so the front sight is just there as a sight and isn't handling the hot gasses.
