I'm building an SBR in 9mm and was considering the Ameetec side cocker. I'm getting a can for it, and I think the fact that theres no charging handle in back will keep the gas and crud from coming back. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I had that setup for a while then I reconfigured it when I got bored. It's a nice setup.

9mm is a blow back system and doesn't use gas from the barrel. You'll get the same amount of dirt no matter what upper you use - which isn't really that much.
