I have been happy with the other stuff I have purchased from Anderson, even though their finish on the upper I have is a little shiny. |

This is tempting since I'm working on my first built and a will be starting a 2nd build for my wife soon. Anyone have thoughts to using this barrel for a plinking rifle with a .22lr conversion BCG in it? That's probably all she will ever use the rifle for. Their barrels are not even chrome lined, I wouldn't put that on anything I was serious about building. |

thanks for the heads up Why would you want this to be a midlength? It's a 14.5 so carbine would be the correct gas tube length. Yes you can have mid length in 14.5" just as well as carbine..... poster is wrong. |

This is my first build also, and at the time, this was the only barrel I could find. I know it would have been better to get one that is chrome lined, but you know how it is right now. If it will work for something good enough to plink with then I will keep it. I have another lower that I plan one building slower and using high quality parts as they come back on the market for decent prices. Just looking for good advice, due to my newness to the AR platform. |

I always have it checked on the C&R rifles that I buy, didn't know if I should on something w/ brand new parts. |
