Anybody have any luck getting a lower re-anodized? I need a grey one for an xlnt FN upper I have that's been in my safe awhile.
Nodak Spuds recommends US Anodizing, but they want $150 to anodize a single lower. I'd just buy a NDS lower for that money, though lowers can be had for fifty bucks these days...
Checking to see if anybody knows a place. Don't want to spray paint one, er, I mean apply a "coating".... H

I know $150 bucks to re-anodize a lower is pretty steep.  But NoDak has been out of the A2 lowers for a while now and I'm not sure if the current production McKay lowers even come in gray.  I was lucky enough to find a Del-Ton Inc A2 lower that has a bluish gray finish around X-Mas time.  I'm not sure if this was a limited thing from Del Ton or an anomaly in dying process after anodizing, but the lower matched pretty well with my FK forge-marked FN upper.  I paid $180 bucks for the Del-Ton A2 lower with LPK before taxes and transfer fees from a LGS.

I, too, have a gray FN upper sitting round waiting for a lower to match.  I would be happy to know of a Cerakote or Norrels color that matches that shade of gray.  It is very different from NoDak's XM gray or the old Colt gray.  Not sure any production lower will match; I may end up using mine with a black lower for a two-tone, or I'll blast it and paint it (Cerakote or Norrels) with a lower to match.

Sniper grey matches the later colt grey quite well.

NDS informed me that they will have grey lowers available this summer.... Still looking for an anodizer at a reasonable price. Thanks Gents, H.
