I've read all the threads concerning FTF issues but there isn't one with my problem.  Runs great with one upper...  Not so much with another.

I've had a 9mm setup for about 1 year now.

Spikes Tactical lower receiver
Hahn pistol buffer
Hahn dedicated mag block
RRA 10.5" A2 upper
RRA ramped bolt
Run it with a RLL
Modified M16A2 FCG (RLL Mod)
C-Products 32 rd Mags

It's ran like a top.  100% reliable in every way possible.  It didn't start out great though.  FTF/FTE problems at first.  I tweaked the ejector over a bit and that fixed the FTE.  I switched ammo and it ran great with Georgia Arms 9mm with a nickle case but not the WWB.  When I ran out of GA, I tried WWB again and it runs great...breaking in period possibly???

I got a new upper receiver for it that I put together myself.

RRA A4 stripped upper
Tros 5" 3-lug
Shares the bolt with the 10.5 above.
YHM 4.15" handguards...  shouldn't matter

Anyway.  Once I put this upper on my lower it's been nothing but problems.  At first I was having FTF/FTE issues.  I did the 1/8 x 3/4" pin mod and tweaked the ejector a bit more than what I had it... to the point where it rubs.  I do need to move it back so it's not rubbing.  It fixed the FTE problems for the most part.  I checked my C-Products mags and I noticed that some had Gen I followers soI swapped those out with Gen II followers.

I was able to go to the range today.  I brought my known good C-Products mags and some Pro-Mags.  Ammo was WWB 115gr FMJ, Remington 115gr FMJ, Remington 115gr (?) JHP.

I started with the 5" upper.  Started having problems right away with the FTF issues with the WWB.  It strips the round from the mag but seems to go in the chamber at an extreme angle and just gets wedged.  The brass always is dented from this. I tried both Pro-Mag and C-Products.  Sometimes it actually gets most of the way into the chamber but doesn't go all the way in.  I'm thinking that while it's feeding it isn't smooth and slows down the bolt and ends up stuck.  Or maybe it's getting dented so bad it's hard to feed.

I swapped the uppers and the 10.5 ran great with the WWB...  Not so much for the Remington.

The Remington ammo would not work...  Period.  The JHP would constantly jam in both uppers and the FMJ wouldn't even cycle the weapon...  I left what I had left at the range for someone else to use.

So what can my problem be?  The mags don't seem to be an issue as they work with the 10.5" upper.  From a visual inspection, they look exactly the same at the chamber.

I have ordered 1000rds of 9mm Wolf.  My thinking is, the harder case may not dent as easily and thus feed better.  Anything else I should try???

Thanks

Have you ever tryed some good old colt mags in it? Those hahn mag blocks and Cproducts mags have both been problematic with all the testing that Ive done.

Try it in semi with  9mm hammer or DPMS Played with RDIAS but not RLL so couldn't help you much on this.

+1 on Colt mag.

I had some but sold them because the C-Products were working 100% in the 10.5 setup.

I have a buddy who has a couple but he's on vacation...  I'll have to borrow them when he gets back.  Until them I'm waiting on the Wolf I had ordered.

The RLL moded M16A2 FCG is a DPMS hammer basically...  M16 hammer with the tail cut off.

Thanks
