I built this rifle last year and it has been very accurate unti this year.

RRA upper /  MI 1:7 M-4 profile 16" BBL

Crown is fine
I used antisieze on the BBL nut.
Torqued to 35lbs and then indexed w/gas tube
ARMS free float upper

Anything I shoot in it varies from 6" to 8" groups from a cement bench at 100 yds. The other AR I built is sub MOA, I am thinking I have a crappy BBL.

Thanks in advance for any help.

When the barrel is hot is there any play between it and the upper receiver?
Is the Crown good on the barrel?

As large as the groups are, and if using decent ammo, best guess would be that the barrel nut was not mated to the receiver threads and the barrel and nut now loose, or you are getting bullet strikes off the FS on the way out.

There was no barrel movement. The barrel nut was tight, I took it off and retorked it.

I was using several loads,

55 grn SST
77 Blackhill OTM's
55 grn Remington.

I looked for bullet stikes on the FS and did not see any.

The barrel crown looks ok.

How many rounds have you shot thru it before the accuracy went south? Have you checked to see if it is copper fouled?

I WAS having accuracy problems too and it was suggested that I try removing the fs.  Initially, I did not and tried some other things and did not see any improvements.  In desperation, I removed the fs and shot it with bare, good groups...  Should have listened and tried removing fs sooner...
