I've had my Stag model 8 for a couple of years.  The only thing I changed on it (functionality-wise) was the stock, swapping out the stock stock with an Ace Skeleton, new spring etc.  I keep it nice & clean/lubed.  And I'm using 20 round P-mags pinned to 15 rounds (thanks NJ).  This setup has worked fine for a while.  Several hundred rounds with no issues.  Then over the weekend, I start getting a bunch of failure to feeds.  The round seems to be too low on the right side.  I thought at first that the mag just wasn't fully seated, so I would just clear/tap/rack and it was fine (forgetting that now I'm on the left side).  But as the day went on it got worse and worse, eventually rendering the weapon useless.  This was both when charging, and during actual firing.  The tip of the bullet is actually just jamming into the receiver below the extension.  One time it was so bad it actually pressed the bullet into the casing when I tried to extract the magazine. In the image below (not my actual receiver) you can see where it's jamming (the little pink dot).  Any ideas as to why this may be happening all of a sudden and how to remedy the problem?

You don't say if you tried a different magazine, because to me it sounds like its the magazine spring,
the spring is not pushing the cartridge up fast enough causing the bolt to jamb it into the feed ramp...
Another sign is the modified mag, when you convert these your bound to have problems with them after awhile..

You have a mag problem.
Here's a how-to from ARP. There is one pic that shows preferred "on deck" cartridge approach angle.
The article shows how to address the spring/follower relationship.
Even though it's about a 6.8 mag, the same principles apply to other AR mags.
I'll post the pics that may not open for non-members.

What type of ammunition, was there a switch in type between working and not working?  Is this happening all on the same magazine or different ones?

I had this same issue today.  I was having a failure to extract with the failure to feed.  I replaced the extractor spring and solved the extraction problem.  Now it won't feed the next round similar to the OP issue.  I did use different ammo for the first time...American Eagle AE223 when I normally shoot AE xm193 or xm855.  I tried a brand new pmag and it had the same problem.  Tried some LC xm193 and had the same problem.
