My C&R just came in the mail and was checking out a $320 SKS. I decided I didn't want to spend that much on an SKS and really wanted an AR to shoot some 3 gun. I've been doing research but there is so much info/opinions I decided to just pull the trigger on some on-sale PSA parts. This is what I ended up with:
PSA SS12G2 CHF 16" 5.56mm 1:7 Mid-length Pencil Profile Palmetto State Armory Classic HIPERTOUCH® 24 Lower Build Kit 5.56 Bolt Carrier Group w/ Ambi Charging Handle 10 Magpul MAG571 w/ PSA Safe/Fire Stripped Lower Receiver (I some how ended up with two of these  )
I hope I chose well for a first build. I figure it will at least get me shooting and I can figure out what I want to change from there. My biggest concern is the trigger but it wasn't much more than the standard kit so I figured I would give it a shot. Now I just need everything to come in and figure out sights/red dot.
