I have both colt and glock configs, but if these hold up I'm switching completely. Having the same mag body lets me use all the same gear and manual of arms. Not to mention the ease of loading. Was concerned with how "solid" the insert would be - but they lock in tight. Will have to do some abuse tests next time I get outside. |

Oh well that makes sense as with the blowback setups many people use longer buffers for more mass and to prevent snapping the BHO to limit travel while the Guard system uses the similar carrier / bolt arrangement so you have the same travel as a 556 setup... However, even with my Colt straight blowback system, I never resorted to using a longer buffer and never had an issue of breaking a BHO but I had my setup tuned pretty well for full auto just never as smooth as the radially delayed Guard setup. |

Attached File Two out of three ran good. The third one pointed out on the left side of the pic failed to chamber any rounds due to the bcg hitting the back of the extractor. I'm not sure if the bend in the extractor was already there or caused by the bcg striking it from behind. The endo mag was installed the same as the other two. |

It has functioned flawlessly for close to a thousand rounds with glock 17 rd mags and a tork g mag block. Flawless with a combined 137 rds so far with the two endomags. The third endomag wouldn't run from the first round... |

| A shout out for MEAN's customer service. I sent an email explaining the issue with the one mag before I hopped in the shower. Before I got out I had a voicemail from Tom at MEAN Arms. Gonna get some pics to them and try another endomag in the magpul magazine body to see if it's possible that the magpul body is rolled.. Great customer service! |

Here is what I will be trying in the next 60 minutes.
10 each - 124 grain cast and PCd, 95 grain cast and PCd and some 115 or 124 FMJs, forget that they are. All the same rounds functioned with a stern block and glock mags in rhe same gun. I will you know how it goes. Attached File |

Overall went very well.
I had 10 rounds in each of 3 mags. When I started with the 124 PCd cast bullets it was in "bianary" mode. I had one hangup in the 10. I use a brass catcher, and was in a hurry so I just racked it and finished. Not sure if double feed, etc.. it also did not lock back on that mag. Went out of bianary mode for the other 2 mags. The FMJs and the shorter 95 grain PCd cast bullets fired perfect and locked back. So far I am happy, need to run more. The 9mm bolt seems to chew up the passengers side rear area of rhe PMAG, but not a big deal. Attached File |

Mine is the newer gen Faxon Bolt. Love it.
I am sure once it clears a path, it will be fine. Disnt slow it down enough to malfunction. Attached File |

Ran my six a few times this morning.
Closest thing to a complaint is that seating the mag on a closed bolt with 30rds is tough. Have to hammer it in. Not that uncommon. Had one first round fail to load as a result. No issues if downloaded to 29. Very minor scuffing on the 556 feed lip like others noted. Still very impressed. |

I ran 3 of the Guard version ones this morning. With all 3 I had an issue where the BHO would engage with one round left in the mag. I had to trim the top of the BHO tab on the Endomag on all 3 mags I tested. After that they were flawless.
Picture below is unaltered BHO tab on the right and the left is one that was trimmed. Was able to do it with my pocket knife....no Dremel needed. 
Video of it working with two different Guard Uppers in FA. One of them is an early barrel with an M4 extension (dual feed ramps). The other one is newer w/ the single feed ramp for Glock mags. Neither was an issue. Endomags worked great with both. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XaGtM2NT38 |

Great to hear others are getting their EndoMags. Mine will arrive on Tuesday. I bought four sets of three of the Guard model without the ejector. My 5" Guard 9mm upper arrived today. There seems to be a "tight" spot in the center of the upper. It is tight enough that the bolt group hangs up with the barrel pointing at the ground. I'm really looking forward to running it.
Scott ETA I wonder about the possibility of converting the EndoMag to work with a 9mm Beta C. I had a converted steel Uzi tower that I used on the original MP5 Beta drum, before BETACO came out with the Colt 9mm tower. I wonder if the steel EndoMag internals could be welded onto the steel tower adapter? I need to dig around and see if I can't find that steel Uzi tower. |

Played with them a little more today. It doesn't look like my cast flatter point style bullets are going to work so smoothly. Not a big surprise. I just ordered a 124 grain round nose mold!
I can shoot my plated and jacketed reloads for now. Loves them. Will test some 124 grain jacketed HPs this coming week. |

I can't get mine mags to lock into the magwell with the bolt closed.
So I pull back and lock the BCG open, insert mag and close the bolt, but it gets hung up. I need to look at it more. I must be doing something wrong. Maybe I'll start by reading the instructions.... |

Yes, I cut the follower to make sure it was spring. That is what was happening with my cast bullets. Had them loaded to 30 and first round wouldn't feed correctly. When i did my initial test firing with only 10 rounds in each mag, they worked fine.
I can live with loading to 29 rounds. We may still be in business. . |

Ran them a bunch more today, still very impressed.
One anomaly... On two different occasions I seated a mag with a single round in it with the bolt locked back and both times the bolt failed to pick up the round while closing. I've never had it happen on the last round of any mag, just on these two occasions when I loaded a single round into the mag. It may be that I didn't have the round inserted correctly or somehow depressed too far. |

| Just took my three mags out with a CMMG Guard upper I built with the barrel and bolt kit. All three worked perfectly with American Eagle and Remington 115gr. round-nose, but the Sig 147gr. JHP refused to feed. It kept jamming nose up on the edge of the chamber and the bolt jamming on the case's rear rim. For me it's a range toy and I'm perfectly happy shooting non self defense ammo out of these mags. |

I didn't try to gorilla it in there too hard. However, if you have loaded at 30 with the bolt back, I had no issues stripping the 30th round off. Really hoping they come out with a 40 round Endomag...I'd be good with 39 rounds... No damage to mags...I wouldn't think so either since the Guard bolt is similar to a 556 bolt but the two bottom lugs are closer together than a 556 bolt to clear the notch of a Glock mag...so even less chance of damage to the mags. |
