Taking their pmags to a belt sander and grinding the ribs off to make them easier to insert and extract from double mag pouches??

Im not sure what that would do, if anything, to the integrity of the mag, but I know Magpul makes a smooth PMAG now for exactly the reason your wanting them.

never had a problem with Pmags in my pouches but I would suggest you get their Emags if the ribs give you problems

The problems I have fitting Pmags into mag pouches isn't caused by the ribs on the magazine body as much as those fat floor plates.

I had the same problem. Stowing them upside down has worked out pretty well.
