| I have been gone a long time evidently. One minute I am dealing with the so called "Assault Weapons Ban" and now I am a stranger in a strange land. Work, family, life happened and I lost track. The names have all changed since I've been around(You know it). I can't tell the players without a scorecard. Can some grizzled veteran help me out? |

I am a little disappointed here. I was expecting some serious discussion. No offence to the the true believers. I am sorry for you. What a bunch of dim witted, self absorbed, selfish people. its 1130 est...people might be sleeping and its the holidays...we are not dim witted or anything, but some people have shit to do other than browse arfcom... with that said, welcome
also helps to wait more than a few minutes for a reply also, this is a technical forum...if you want a serious discussion, go to general discussion or GD |

The owner of that company circa 1999-2001 was a complete and total asshole.
Couple of customer service/quality control issues but mainly he was a weapons grade schmuck Almost witnessed a full on dog fight at the Ventura Fairgrounds when his two mutts nearly came out from under the table to attack show goers dog. I was in the middle of it all at the time. As for the guns, just another name in a long list of run of the mill guns. Not as nkte worthy for inovation as say RND rifles and not as notorious a schmuck as ToadBailey of Spechul Wepuns. |
| Thanks for the reality check. I am one sad and lonely man. I need to learn patience. That is for sure. Glad to be back. I appreciate the technical aspects and love to learn more. I apologize for my over the top provocation. When last I left ASA was an inflammatory topic. So I have an Oly 20" HBAR A2 post ban. My son and I would like to build a M4 type. I think we need an HBAR with a 1:7 for the 62 gr and not the M4 cut out. I am looking for a quality build on my existing lower. Does the forum have any suggestions? Somewhere between dirt cheap and top of the line. Thank you. |

A Spikes or PSA upper is good quality and value. As far as optic, I'd get an Aimpoint PRO (or Eotech) now, can add a magnifier later, or decide it isn't needed. ACOG on sale or the dot/magnifier combo will be $800 or more.
Edit: it can be hard to avoid the M4 cutout, it doesn't hurt anything though. I prefer the LW profile barrels myself. A midlength gas system will be a little softer shooting and give you a longer handguard. |
