Anyone here running them?  How do they compare to higher priced BUIS (Troy etc).  I'm thinking about getting a set of front/back to use with my EOTech.  On the same note, does anyone have them in stock in black?

I have a rear MBUS. It is OK for a low use sight.

I would go with the Troy if it's a sight that's going to be flipped up and used a bunch or used as a stand alone rear sight.

I bought an MBUS rear sight to soo how well I'd like a flip up with my Aimpoint (replacing my LMT fixed rear).  It seems well made, but it is somewhat bulky as compared to a Troy.

I bought mine from Palmetto State Armory.  They seem to still have them in stock.

Here are a few of the issues with the rear MBUS that are worth considering.

- It's bulky - many people complain that it gets in the way of the charging handle, and some people move it up a few slots to work around this.
- It takes up 2 slots on the rail, which can be a problem if you're short on real estate.  It won't fit behind the CASV-EL, for instance, while the Troy and others will.
- It's a bit tall, at 0.625" folded, which can limit what scope/mount combos it'll fit under.
- It's plastic, of course.  Some people don't mind this, others do.

It looks like the best bet in an inexpensive rear folding sight, if none of these are show-stoppers for you.

I ordered a set front and back in black for $85 shipped.  For that kind of money, if I don't like them, it's no biggie.

I just got a set a few days ago. Does anyone know how the rear aperture work? It has a small and large, but the small seems to be higher (like for longer ranges) than the large. Is this normal, and if so, what range would it be used for?

Im using the MBUS rear. Works as advertised.  It is a bit bulky, but it folds up well enough to stay out of the way of the EOTech.  It deploys very quickly with just thumb pressure on either side.  It Co-witnesses just fine.

I have a mbus on my del-ton too!  It's great for an inexpensive sight - well made, durable and functional.  It's also not the bulkiest BUIS out there but it's not the skinniest either.

I have a set on my RRA 6.8, and I like them for the price. I have a pair of YHM flip sights that I like a little better, but the magpuls are good for the $. Check out AIM Surplus or Palmetto State Armory for the best prices on black MBUS....

The SN-4 in the Larue SPR mount clears the sights.
