Guys,

I was considering getting one. Apparently, they only have two standard models now. One requires a standard installation and the other is a quick installation.

Any advice or opinions about them?

Is one better than the other?

Is this some sort of Calif. compliant thingy?

I have the standard install one and love it. Very easy to get used to.

If still in NY I'd think it'd be more difficult with smaller mags. I've only use it with 30s.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to keep more rounds close at hand in the aftermath of the new NYS laws. All of my mag pouches are sized for 30 rounders.

Figured a Redi Mag might be a good start.

I use one in 3 gun competitions.  I had a machine shop cut it down and skeletonize it like the Blueforce Gear Redi-Mod.

Haven't followed too closely but will NY law allow 30 rnd mag bodies pinned to 7 rnds?

From what I understand, no. We can keep 10 rounders and load them to 7. All our 10+ mags are supposed to be sold out of state one year from now.. Love this place.

Found a 10 rnd mag and tried it. It's doable. You get about an inch to an inch and a half of the mag sticking out of the redi mag

So you guys can't use mag blocks in your normal 30 rounders like we do here in Cali.

Good article

I have both styles. I cut mine like the redi-mod myself. The new style is already cut at an angle and its aluminum versus steel. The new style definitely easier to install because it is hinged. I have them on all my rifles so they are all set-up the same.
