My Upper has no forward assist assembly, and I mean there is no provision for it the right hand side is clean, picked it up in Sierre leone last year . Busy with my lower bought an 80 % Lower. my question is is this an AR15 or a M16. The Cal is .223 Any info would be helpfull Saints |
Not as good an indicator as you might think. My SP1 came w/the clearance cuts for the auto sear. Oddly enough ,when I acquired a big hole FA type upper off of a later model, it didn't have the cuts. Go figure.  Obviously, the best indicator is the size of the front mounting hole. If it's 1/4 inch, it's an M16 piece. If it's .315 inch it's an SP1. |
