I have the chance to get an Armalite stripped lower. Can anyone give me a reason not to buy it? This will be for an SDM-R build. My understanding is Armalite has supplied some parts for the .mil SDM-R's. If this would not be a good choice, please recommend a good lower.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
Does anyone else have any feedback on Armalite parts? (specifically lowers).
Thanks

I've got an Armalite EagleArms lower w/a competition trigger and a Colt A2 upper, great rifle. Eats any brass I feed it by the hundreds but it does not like steel. Nice lower, Armalite's an industry leader.

I used an Armalite lower for my SPR Mod 1 build and love it. Great fit and finish. Used a Rock River LPK with 2-stage trigger. No problems.

Thanks for the replies. What about matching up the lower with an Armalite upper receiver? Would their upper receivers be any different than anyone elses? Or should I wait it out for a Larue with M4 feedramps?

The Armalite upper should have M4 feed ramps, too.  Mine does.

I have two Armalite uppers.  Both good.  Their barrels are a little heavy, but accurate.

I had an Armalite lower that was a terribly loose fit to anything I mated it to.   I got rid of it

All I have are armalite lowers. Fitting was kinda tight with the Vltor MUR but field stripped it a few times and its now a perfect fit. :)

My Eaglearms/ArmaLite Lower is great.  Fit and finish is excellent.  Matches well with my RRA Upper and it drops all the mags, I have tried, free without a problem.  Really don't know of any reason not to get one if you are in the market for one.
