Not sure if this should go here or not, but here goes. I am looking to get an Armalite stripped lower. When I look on the Armalite web site it lists Eagle arms lowers. Are they the same, and how will they be marked, Eagle Arms or Armalite? I guess this is a question for Armalite, but I figured someone here would know. Thanks Jim |

My understanding of Armalite is that they do not sell Armalite roll-marked striped lowers. If you want an Armalite made lower, you need to get it marked as Eagle. Or, as an alternative, they also sell Cav Arms plastic lowers pretty cheap. I believe they do this for mostly marketing reasons, and so if someone gets an "Armalite" gun, they know it was (at least initially) sold as a complete gun and not something someone other than Armalite built up. If you want an Armalite brand lower, have you looked on the EE? Also, out of curiosity, why Armalite? I own one (20"a4) , and am happy with it, but there are some pretty decent quality lowers out there that would be a lot less... |

Thanks for the response, I sort of thought that was the case, but was not sure. I have looked on the EE but don't remember seeing Armalite lowers for sale, I will look again. My reasoning for wanting Armalite specifically is that I have a Colt, Bushmaster, Stag, DPMS, and RRA. Just wanting to add to the family. I agree that there are lowers that are super quality (Stag) at less cost. I am just sort of adding to the list I guess. Probably sound like I need mental assistance, but I assure you and all three of me that everything is OKhat Thanks again for the info. Jim |

This is from the Quantico Arms website:: "ArmaLite never sells ArmaLite branded receivers. Instead, they sell receivers under the Eagle Arms name. These receivers are made with the same forgings, on the same equipment and by the same people as ArmaLite receivers. Features include: * Forged * MilSpec dimensions * Milspec hardcoat anodized" I also searched for you on the EE, and looked on the Armalite / For Sale forum, and didnt see anything. Good Luck... |
