[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Austrian ammo

I have come across some Austrian ammo, it was given to me by a freind.
it seems quite hot and it comes in 30 round boxes; does anybody know anything about this ammo? It is not SS109 ball ammo, and is intended for the Steyr AUG (Sturmgewehr 77 in Austria)

Seriously, looks to Hirtenberger which is good stuff.

It's Hirtenberger.

Never had any of their 5.56, but I do have Hirt .308. It's some of the best surplus ever made. I would assume the 5.56 is equally well made.

I've never fired the Hirtenberger 5.56NATO--but I've heard it's great! +1 on the 7.62 NATO being top notch! I just got done putting some on stripper clips and in ammo cans--I wish I had more!
