What is the deal with the "auto" BCGs.... are they perfectly legal to use in any semi?  Or are only supposed to be for replacement in already legally owned full auto guns?

I was going to buy a BCM BCG and I only see "auto" BCGs made by BCM.

auto BC's are fine in your semi.

My understanding is so that it will increase accuracy, by slowing the extraction/ejection cycle, and therefore slowing recoil impulse.

No increase in accuracy. By the time you have felt the recoil the bullet has already left the barrel.
They may slow the cycle rate a little though.......probably not noticeable.

The only answer that ever made any sense to me is that the heavier bolt will absorb more of the recoil shock, leading to less felt recoil.  Not that an AR15 has much recoil to begin with.

I don't care one way or the other.  I got my carrier from BCM, and it was an M16 type.  As long as Bravo made it, that was about all I needed to know.
