If I bought the B5 SOPMOD is there anything I'm missing out on by not getting the LMT version? Why such a big difference in prices? Is the fit and finish any different? I read a review an it say the B5 isn't as refined as the LMT version.

| For full disclosure about my review; I forgot to update it once I came across a problem with my B5 stock. I had a QD swivel that came with my Knight's hand stop that did not lock into the QD socket of the stock. It was the only QD swivel I had on hand to test, but it would probably be a good idea to ask around to see if it might be a more common problem. |

When you say it had problem fitting on peoples extensions could this be because they were trying to use it with a commercial extension instead of a mil-spec one? Mine is mil-spec so I would think it would work.. |

Mine is mil-spec so I would think it would work.. No, when the mil first contracted to B5 they gave them the wrong specs apparently, so the first run (s) from B5 had fit issues. This has since been corrected though. Just buy from a known vendor (AIM, Rifle Gear, Rally Point Tactical, etc) and get one with the QD swivels, and avoid any thrid party "too good to be true deals" b/c a lot of the bad stocks got DRMO'd and made it out into the market. |

There are plenty of issues reported with even the Gen 2 version if you take the time to do an internet search. Rubber buttpads that fall off, latches that will not latch, still being too tight on milspec tubes. B5 has a rep on TOS who is pretty good about acknologing problems and trying to solve them to make the B5 product truely as good as the KAC/LMT but they are not there yet. |

But, some people here like to post as if they are airsoft junk when they know (or should if they actually read and understand) that is simply not the case, and that's intellectually dishonest. |
