| Is it possible to swap the BCG from one of my rifles out to another? I'm asking because I just picked up a new upper which needs a BCG and wanted to know if I could borrow one from another rifle while waiting on the new one to arrive. |
| A BCG will work from any AR-15 rifle in another, despite the different variants or full vs semi. If you want to be safe you should get a set of headspace gauges and check the rife when switching, especially if you are using well used BCGs. This is a part under a lot of stress so I always drop a gauge in just to be safe. It'll probably work if you don't, but don't blame me for any nasty issues! |
