Hey guys would like some advice please. About to finish my first AR build, pretty much got everything together just missing BCG and Charging handle. Would like to know what you guys would suggest for BCG? I also want to be sure it will fit well with the upper parts I have so far, here is what I got.
Purchased from Bravo Company: Upper Receiver - (w/ Laser T-Markings) M4 Flat Top (M4 Feedramps) - STRIPPED Manufactured by USGI Contractor BCM Standard 16" Mid Length Barrel, Stripped Daniel Defense Clamp On Low Profile Gas Block .750 Tactical Machining Lower w/ dpms LPK M4 stock MI#21 Mid Length Free Float Any advice is much appreciated. |

Awesome. And that should fit fine with what I have? I was worried that having a different manufacturer BCG and upper receiver may be a problem. I did read on another thread that being both new they would break in one another so it should be fine I guess.
Thanks for Replying buddy. |
| With a BCM upper and barrel the natural choice would be a BCM BCG. Of course the problem is they're pretty rare these days. They had them in stock for about 8 hours last week then gone!. My last two BCM uppered guns I went with a DD and a BCM unmarked carrier and DD bolt. Ordered a Larue BCG for my latest build. |
| Benj: I upgraded to a BCM Gunfighter charge handle. Much improved over the milspec design, highly recommended and the worth the small extra cost. I got the larger no 3 size because I'm a lefty - I sling the rifle over my left shoulder so the larger projecting handle does not catch on my clothing, plus I operate the bolt with my left hand. Most right handers like the medium no 4 size since they sling the rifle with the charging handle rubbing against their body. - CW |

+1 on the BCM CH.
I like LMT BCGs (if you can find them) as they don't have any markings on them and have an "improved" bolt design. The LMT tactical charging handle is also nice. Nothing wrong with the Spike's BCG and it's a great deal from AIM. Use the savings to get a BCM Mod 4 charging handle. |

Glad you pointed out the benefit of rightys opting for medium 4 size, I wouldn't have known better myself. cmcflex: just got an email from BravoCompany! looks like they got some LMT BCG in stock!
Thanks again guys, really appreciate the feedback. I'll post pics when it's all put together. |
