I have not run into this problem before so I figured I would pose the question out there.

I have a BCM BCG with about 200 rounds now that is not running properly.

I have used this in 2 test uppers (rifle length and mid-length gas)  and 2 test lowers (heavy buffer, carbine buffer, standard spring and extra strength spring) this one short strokes in all of them. It moves as far back to sometimes lock the hammer back and sometimes it will not. It will not eject the fired round as it doesn't move that far back.

Extra info:
- Other BCGs including 2 other BCM BCGs will run in the test uppers as well as the rifle this was suppose to be in
- Headspace is not an issue
- It is well lubed
- Key is staked properly and gas is not escaping in excess
- Other parts are not causing this issue as tested
- Ammo is not the issue
- BCG inserts smooth and unlocks as it should when moved by hand

Define "not running properly."

Check the front gas key screw to see if it is broken.
