I got a new BCM BCG and was wondering if it would be a bad idea to use it in multiple rifles. What is the science behind this? Does the Bolt and Barrel become unigque to each other or something? I was thinking of using it in a hunting rifle and a competition rifle. So there shouldn't be to many rounds sent through the guns. Just curious on what people thought. thanks

I would keep each bolt and barrel together. That way they wear together. and bolts are pretty cheap.

Yep.

Changing a bolt around would just increase the wear on both the barrel and the extension as the parts would be constantly wearing in to different mating parts.
