Anyone using one of the new design BCM comps? Looks like they put a single port in the top for compensation. Kinda want to try one out. Curious how they do overall but mainly if they do better at flash suppression than the “older” Mod 0 and Mod 1. I kept an A2 flash hider on a couple things bc they had too much flash for my liking. Have a couple VG6 Deltas that I like too, but want a bit more compensation. Not sure the BCM is going to give me noticeably more compensation for 3x the price. https://bravocompanyusa.com/bcmgunfighter-compensator-mod-2-5-56/ https://bravocompanyusa.com/bcmgunfighter-compensator-mod-3-5-56/ |

Mod 2 Mod 3 It’s really not that hard to hotlink. Put a little bit of effort and people will be more willing and able to help you. And no, I haven’t used these. I use the solgw nox and it works great. ETA: I apologize for my snarky response. BCM makes very high quality gear. If these fit your aesthetic goals, they will work just like any other comp, by directing some of the gas upwards to counteract the muzzle rise. I’m surprised BCM doesn’t make a suppressor mount type muzzle device. I use the nox because it’s a keymo mount. I also used a dead air brake on my ar-10 because it’s a mount for a keymo suppressor. |

Looks like the switched from cone at the end of the muzzle device with cone's bore opening towards bore to cone at the beginning of the muzzle device with cone's bore opening towards the muzzle and drilled some holes on the cone aligning with the flash hider birdcage slots. No idea of their performance and if this change will make these worth their price or not as that last versions sure as hell weren't. |

Haha, thanks. I initially read it thought, “geez what d***, then I thought, “ehh, maybe he’s having a bad day.” No worries. |

Quoted: Looks like a normal A2 bird cage flash hider. Not much "comp" to it at all. IMO they probably needed a better flash hiding option compared to their original Mod 0/1 because that thing has a ton of flash even on a 16-inch barrel. https://i.imgur.com/yCrerar.jpg Look close at the pictures on their website. I can see one port on the mod 3 and as ColtSeavers mentioned above, I then went and looked at the mod 2 pics closer and noticed there’s likely 3 ports, 1 on each of the top 3 flash hider slots. |

I emailed BCM and they responded as follows: Mod 1 and mod 3 are extended length compensators which can be pinned to a 14.5" barrel to make them a 16" length. Mod 0 and mod 2 are shorter, matching the length of a standard A2 flash hider. The mod 0 and mod 1 are the original design that offers compensation and some flash reduction. The mod 2 and mod 3 are improved designs developed to retain that same compensation ability while improving flash reduction |
