My new BCM middie has a triangular front cap to hold the hand guards. I just called Cav Arms to buy hand guards and they say theirs is round in the front, but can be used with triangular cap on front of BCM middie.
Sounds sub-optimal to me. Does anybody make hand guards with triangular piece to fit end cap tight? |

I asked a similar question a while back. From what I understand, any mid-length handguard will work with a mid-length upper. Also, I think it is typical for a mid-length upper to have a triangular endcap. I'm sure that those more knowledgeable on the subject will be along shortly. |

I picked up a set of these at a gun show and they work fine... the rounded part fits in the center of the triangle and there are "tabs" that sandwich the front cap between the rounded part and the tab. I hope that makes sense. They fit just as tight as the factory Stag carbine handguard, but I can not attest to their durability. Durability in the sense that the heat shields remain attached to the handguard. $20. Sorry no pics of my setup, but it works. I would call and ask to make sure the current M&A offering mimics what I have. I was under the impression they were Cav Arms, but I have no idea. They were purchased loose.
Handguard Also from PK's website... Midlength Handguards - BLACK Midlength Handguards - BLACK. Fits on midlength barrels with standard triangle handguard cap. Rock River Arms. Single aluminum heatshield in each half. $19.00. |
